The Gazette requires the institute to award an MBBS degree after mbbs course duration of 54 months of education and 1 year of internship. It should take 10 years to complete MBBS after admission.
The NMC rule states that students pursuing Physics, Chemistry, Biology, or Biotechnology along with English.
The MBBS Abroad students study subjects in MBBS Community Medicine, General Medicine, Psychiatry, Paediatrics, General Surgery, Anaesthesia, Obstetrics and Gynaecology, Orthopaedics, Otorhinolaryngology, Ophthalmology, Dermatology, Emergency or Casualty Services, Lab Services, and their subspecialties.
You must pass the NMC's twice-yearly Foreign Medical Graduate Examination (FMGE). From 2024, NMC will administer the NeXT test for Indian practice licences.
A 12-month internship at the same institution as the degree is required. Students need theoretical, practical, and clinical training equivalent to India's MBBS course.
